2024 Subaru Legacy

The 2024 Subaru Legacy is available in five trims: Base, Premium, Limited, Sport, and Touring XT. Based on the same platform found on the popular Outback station wagon, the 2024 Legacy has a striking front grille and bumper. If you're wanting a sportier appearance, choose the Sport trim with its solid wheel design and exterior accents. It comes standard with 17-inch alloy wheels and adaptive LED headlights, while you can add 18-inch alloy wheels, heated side mirrors, LED fog lights, a sunroof, and a rear spoiler.

Under the hood of the 2024 Subaru Legacy, you'll find one of two engine options. The standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine makes 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque. The upper two trims come with a turbocharged 2.4-liter engine that gets 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. Power goes to the wheels via a continuously automatic transmission. The sedan is the only one in its class that comes standard with all-wheel drive, which helps you to easily navigate difficult road conditions.

Compared to other vehicles in its class, the 2024 Subaru Legacy achieves excellent gas mileage. With the base engine, you can expect the vehicle to get an EPA-estimated 27 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway. The turbocharged models aren't far behind since they get 24 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway.

If you're familiar with the Legacy's previous models, you might think the 2024 ones are more spacious, especially in the back. The cabin isn't necessarily larger than the older models, but the automaker has maximized the space more. Cloth upholstery comes standard, but the upper models have available leather upholstery. While the front seats are comfortable and spacious, opting for the upper trims gives you a manual thigh extension, which helps longer-legged drivers.

To keep you connected, the Legacy comes standard with a Starlink infotainment system that utilizes two 7-inch displays. Its upper screen deals with the media functions, while the lower one handles the climate functions. The Premium trim offers the latest 11.6-inch vertically oriented display. Wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay also come standard, but you can opt for wireless connectivity. Other standard features include HD and satellite radio, Bluetooth, and a single USB port.

Subaru vehicles are known for their stellar safety features, so it comes as no surprise that the 2024 Legacy is packed full of them. Every trim comes with the automaker's EyeSight suite of driver-assistance features, which include automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control with lane-centering. It also includes a handful of add-on features, some of which include blind-spot monitoring, driver-attention monitoring, and reverse automatic emergency braking.
