According to the ASPCA®, nearly 6.3 million companion animals enter shelters nationwide every year, where many live day after day without the love of a family or a home.
Subaru believes all pets deserve a loving home and that’s why we are the largest corporate donor to the ASPCA. Through our Subaru Loves Pets® initiative, Subaru and our retailers have been committed to improving the lives of as many shelter animals as possible.
Pets make the world a better place. Subaru is proud to help make the world a better place for them with over $52 million donated to national and local organizations, which has supported the adoption, rescue, transport, and health of over 480,000 animals.
Subaru Loves Pets Month
Each October, for Subaru Loves Pets Month, Subaru and our retailers partner with hundreds of local animal shelters, hosting adoption events and providing direct financial assistance to aid in shelter support and pet adoptions. We’re proud of our dedicated retailers across the country who are helping animals find loving homes.
The Underdogs. Loved at last.
Shelter dogs with special needs wait far longer to be adopted. But in 2023, Subaru helped many of these special Underdogs find loving homes. Thanks to the support of over 600 Subaru retailers and partner shelters nationwide, our Subaru Loves Pets® initiative and 5th annual National Make a Dog’s Day celebration helped over 52,000 shelter pets find loving homes. This achievement brings our total number of adopted pets to over 157,000 since the program began. It’s all a part of our ongoing commitment to providing the love and support every pet deserves. Subaru. More Than a Car Company.
