The 2024 Subaru WRX fills a unique niche as a four-door, all-wheel drive performance car. It’s also been named as a recommended model by Consumer Reports. Check out all five trims of this exciting sports sedan before you test it out for yourself at your Bay Area Subaru dealer.

1. Base

The WRX is equipped with a standard BOXER turbo-four engine and a six-speed manual transmission. It also has standard symmetrical all-wheel drive, a feature few competitors offer. This potent powertrain gets 271 horses and 258 pound-feet of torque. Every WRX trim features Subaru’s EyeSight suite of driver assistance tech, with features such as brake assist and high beam assist.

The base model of the WRX comes standard with dual-zone automatic climate control, a six-speaker stereo, and an 11.6-inch touchscreen that runs the STARLINK infotainment system. The D-shaped steering wheel gives the cockpit sporty appeal.

2. Premium

The WRX Premium adds 18-inch alloy wheels in place of the standard 17-inch wheels, along with a trunk spoiler and heated side mirrors. Inside the cabin, you’ll find heated front seats and dual rear USB ports to match the two in the front row. This model also gives you the convenience of keyless access with push-button start. You can upgrade the Premium trim with a power-sliding moonroof and a Harman Karman audio system.

3. Limited

The Limited model gives you a power glass moonroof, power side mirrors with integrated turn signals, and adaptive headlights. The cabin sports Ultrasuede-trimmed upholstery, built-in navigation, and a premium Harman Kardon audio system. The WRX Limited comes with extra driver assistance tech including rear cross-traffic alert with blind-spot monitoring.

4. TR

The top two trims incorporate the style and comfort of power-adjustable Recaro front performance seats. The WRX TR also adds Brembo performance brakes.

5. GT

The WRX GT upgrades your ride with a performance transmission, selectable drive modes, sport-tuned suspension, enhanced AWD with variable torque distribution, and the SI-DRIVE performance management system. This model also comes with reverse automatic emergency braking.

You can add many options to customize any of the WRX trims. Consider a roof-mounted Thule awning, a trunk spoiler, illuminated side sill plates, or an exhaust finisher. Additional possibilities include mud flaps, all-weather floor nets, and a cargo net and tray to keep the rear of your WRX organized.

According to JD Power and Associates, the WRX has had the best residual value among sporty cars for the past few years. More than 90% of models sold in the past 10 years remain on the road today.
